De-tangling Policy

At FUBAR, we are dedicated to helping you achieve your hair goals in a supportive, judgment-free environment. De-tangling severely matted hair requires technique, extreme patience, and significant time to preserve the health of your hair. To ensure we can accommodate your needs, please review our policy below:

Mandatory Consultation: All intensive de-tangling services require a consultation prior to booking. This allows us to assess the hair’s condition, estimate the time needed, and provide an accurate price quote.

Hourly Pricing: De-tangling severely matted hair is charged at an hourly rate of £40. This fee covers the intensive labour, products, and dedicated time required. This applies to both adult and children’s cuts.

Extended Appointment Times: Because de-tangling can take several hours, these appointments must be booked in advance. If a client arrives for a standard service with severe matting, we may need to reschedule the appointment or modify the service to ensure our stylists do not run late for other clients.

Hair Integrity First: Our priority is preserving your natural hair. However, if the matting is too severe to safely untangle without causing extreme damage, our stylists will discuss alternative options with you, such as a therapeutic haircut or removal.
